Edit an existing geofence

This guide explains how to edit an existing geofence in Stella Care’s Administration System. The function is used when you need to change the geofence’s size, shape, description, or the citizens assigned to it.

How to edit a geofence

1. Go to the Geofences menu on the left side of the Administration System.

2. Find the geofence you want to modify in the list.

3. Click the edit icon (✏️) next to the geofence.

4. You will now enter the Edit Geofence page.

5. Under the Edit tab, you can:

   1. Change the name or description.

   2. Select a different organization.

   3. Switch the type between circle and polygon.

   4. Adjust the radius (for circular geofences).

   5. Search for a new address or move the location directly on the map.

   6. Modify the geofence on the map by dragging its edges.

6. Click Save to save your changes, or Cancel to exit without saving.

Edit assigned citizens

1. Go to the Citizens tab.

2. You will see two lists:

   1. Citizens (on the right): shows all available citizens.

   2. Geofence active for the following citizens (on the left): shows citizens currently assigned to the geofence.

3. Drag citizens between the lists to add or remove geofence assignments.

4. A green icon next to a citizen indicates that the geofence is active for them.

Tips

• Use clear names and descriptions so others can easily identify the geofence.

• Avoid overlapping geofences, as they may cause confusion in alarm handling.

• Check that citizens still have relevant geofences assigned after making changes.
