Delete a geofence

This guide helps you understand how to remove a geofence in Stella Care’s Administration System. A geofence is a virtual boundary used to detect when a citizen enters or leaves a specific area.

What does it mean to remove a geofence?

When you remove a geofence, the system will no longer monitor the citizen’s movements in relation to that area.

No alerts will be triggered if the citizen leaves the zone.

This is useful if the citizen moves to a new location, if the geofence is no longer needed, or if you want to replace it with a new one.

How to remove a geofence

1. Go to the Citizens menu in the navigation bar on the left side of the Administration System.

2. You will now see a list of all geofences in your organisation.

3. Find the geofence you want to remove (you can use the search field if needed).

4. Click the trash can icon (🗑️) on the right side of the row.

5. Confirm the deletion when prompted.

The geofence is now permanently removed and will no longer generate alerts or appear in the system.

Tips

• Make sure you delete the correct geofence — the action cannot be undone.

• If you want to update a geofence instead of deleting it, use the edit icon (✏️).

• If a citizen has moved, remove the old geofence and create a new one in the updated location.

• Keep the list clean by removing geofences that are no longer relevant.
