Overview of geofences

This guide explains how to get an overview of geofences in Stella Care’s Administration System. Geofences are used to create and manage safety zones, allowing you to receive alerts if a citizen leaves a defined area.

How to get an overview of geofences

1. Go to the Geofences menu on the left side of the Administration System.

2. You will see a list of all geofences created in the organization you have access to.

3. Use the search field at the top to find a specific geofence by name.

4. Click a geofence in the list to open it and view its location on the map.

What you can see in the overview

• Name: Displays the name of the geofence.

• Description: A short text describing the purpose or location of the geofence.

• Type: Indicates whether the geofence is created as a circle or a polygon.

• Organization: Shows which organization the geofence belongs to.

• Active: Indicates whether the geofence is active or deactivated.

• Edit: Click the edit icon to open and modify the geofence.

• Delete: Click the trash icon to delete the geofence.

View a Geofence on the map

When you click a geofence in the list:

• A map opens, showing the geofence’s shape and exact location.

• Click Show citizen positions to see which citizens are inside (or outside) the zone.

Tips

• Use descriptive names such as “Solvang Care Center – Garden” or “Home Area Team 3.”

• A geofence can be temporarily deactivated if it should not trigger alerts.
