Understand notifications (alarms, warnings, messages)
This guide explains how notifications work in the Stella Care app, and how to read and handle alarms, warnings, and messages.
How notifications work
When a new notification arrives, it is shown immediately when you open the app. There are three types:
Alarms
Critical events.
For example, when a citizen leaves a geofence.
Warnings
Less critical events.
For example, low battery or lost connection.
Messages
Non-urgent information.
For example, system updates or general announcements about the department.
How notifications are displayed in the app
The notification appears at the bottom of the screen, so you see it right away.
You can minimize it if you want to continue with something else.
If a notification has not been handled, it remains at the bottom of the app, so you can always open it again.
This makes it easy to continue working while still having notifications readily accessible.
Tips
Alarms typically require immediate action.
Warnings should be handled early to prevent issues from escalating.
