Link a device to a citizen

This guide helps you understand how to link a device to a citizen in Stella Care’s Administration System.

What is device linking?

Device linking allows you to assign a GPS or tracking device to a specific citizen. Once linked, the device will report location and activity data related to that citizen

Link a device

1. Click on the Devices tab in the navigation bar.

2. Find your device.

3. Click in the device in the Citizen column.

4. Select the citizen you want to link the device to.

5. Click Save.

6. The device is now successfully linked to the selected citizen

Important note

Before you can link a device to a citizen, you must make sure that the device is assigned to the as the citizen.

To do this:

1. Go to the “Devices” tab.

2. Search for the device you want to link.

3. Click “Edit”.

4. Select the same department as the citizen.

5. Click “Save”.

   
   

   
   

Once the device and citizen belong to the same department, the linking process can be completed successfully.

Tips

• Only one citizen can be linked to a device at a time.

• If a device is already assigned, you can just click on the citizen and link it to a new citizen.

• Ensure the device is fully charged and online before linking.
