Remove a device from a citizen

This guide explains how to remove a device from a citizen in Stella Care’s Administration System. This function is used when a citizen no longer needs an active device or when the device should be assigned to another citizen.


How to remove a device from a citizen

  1. Go to the Citizens menu on the left side of the Administration System.

  2. Find the citizen you want to edit and click their name to open the citizen’s page.

  3. Click the Edit button.

  4. Go to the Devices section.

  5. In the right column, you will see the citizen’s active devices (Devices on citizen).

  6. Drag the device you want to remove from the right column into the left column (Paused devices).

  7. Click Save to confirm the change.

The device will now be removed from the citizen and will no longer appear on their page. It will still be registered in the organization under Devices, allowing you to reassign it to another citizen if needed.


Tips

  • The device is not deleted from the system — only its link to the citizen is removed.

  • If the device will be reused, you can add it to a new citizen.

  • Make sure there are no active alerts linked to the device before removing it.

  • After removal, verify that app users who previously received alerts for the citizen still have the correct permissions and associations.
