Edit a device
This guide explains how to edit a device in Stella Care’s Administration System. You can edit basic information or adjust technical settings.
How to edit a device
Go to the Devices menu in the left navigation bar.
Use the search field to find the device you want to edit.
Choose whether you want to edit basic information or technical settings.
Edit basic device information
Click the Edit icon (✏️) next to the device.
In the window that opens, you can change:
Department
Device name
See which citizen the device is linked to
You can also stop the device or swap the device if needed.
Click Save.
Edit technical device settings
Click the Settings icon (⚙️) next to the device.
You will now enter the Device Settings window.
Technical settings can only be changed when the device is turned on.
The Device Settings window contains the following options:
Calling
Controls who can call the device and whether the device can make calls.
You can allow or block outgoing calls, allow or block incoming calls, and turn silent mode on or off for both types.
Faster Geofence
Faster geofence can be turned on if you want faster detection when the device leaves or enters a geofence.
This uses slightly more battery.
Display
Controls how the device screen looks and behaves.
You can choose the watch face, enable or disable the step counter, and choose how the screen should activate (for example always on, turn on by movement, or button press).
Reporting
Controls how often the device sends position data.
You can change the standard reporting interval, the interval for active tracking, and the GPS backup interval.
Energy saving
Turns the device’s power saving mode on or off.
This reduces battery usage by limiting reporting and screen activity.
Click Save when finished.
Tips
The device must be turned on to edit technical settings.
The device must belong to the same department as the citizen before it can be linked.
You can return at any time to edit the device again.
