Create or edit a Wi-Fi network

This guide helps you understand how to create or edit a Wi-Fi network in Stella Care’s Administration System.

What can you do in the Wi-Fi section?

In the Wi-Fi section, you can manually add new Wi-Fi networks or edit existing ones.

This is useful when you want to mark a trusted network, change location details, or update information about how the network is registered.

How to create a new Wi-Fi network

  1. Go to the Wi-Fi networks tab in the navigation bar on the left side.

  2. Click the + “Create Wi-Fi network” button in the top right corner.

  3. Fill in the required fields:

    1. MAC address – unique ID for the Wi-Fi network (required).

    2. Latitude / Longitude – coordinates for the network location.

    3. Address – the physical address where the network is located.

    4. Displayed name – the visible SSID (network name).

    5. Approval level – choose whether the network should be Trusted or Blocked.

      1. Trusted means devices can connect to the network.

      2. Blocked means devices are not allowed to connect.

  4. You can also click on the map to select or adjust the network’s position.

  5. When you’re done, click Save to create the new Wi-Fi network.

How to edit an existing Wi-Fi network

  1. Go to the Wi-Fi networks tab.

  2. Find the network you want to edit in the list.

  3. Click the edit icon (✏️) on the right-hand side.

  4. Update the necessary information — for example, the address, displayed name, or approval level.

  5. Use the map to adjust the network’s position if needed.

  6. Click “Save” to apply the changes.

Tips

  • Always include the full MAC address when adding a network.

  • Use the approval level to mark safe networks as Trusted and unknown ones as Blocked.

  • You can click directly on the map to adjust coordinates easily.

  • Review and update your Wi-Fi list regularly to keep it accurate and secure.
